About this event
Teacher: Catherine Kresge Kang Step into the world of photography and see the world through a whole new lens! In this hands-on class, students will explore the art of storytelling through photography, learning essential skills like composition, lighting, framing, and portrait photography—all while unlocking their own creative eye. Each week, students will embark on exciting themed "photo walks" around campus, tackling photography scavenger hunts and fun challenges to practice their skills in real time. Plus, every student will get their own point-and-shoot digital camera, which will be theirs to keep after the course—so their photography journey doesn’t have to end! On the final day, students will receive a selection of their best prints to create a collage and showcase their amazing work! IMPORTANT: Students will need to purchase THIS camera (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D1BPDQ54/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1) which will be theirs to use during and after the class to continue practicing their skills.
