Troop Trek Leader Meeting for Camp Dean Ad Virtual Free June 1, 2025 4–5 p.m. Register by May 28, 2025 Attendance, by an adult representative, at a pre-camp Information Session is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED for each troop attending Troop Trek. At this session, information will be given concerning the facility, camp procedures, what you need to bring, menu planning, the program schedule, how to involve your Girl Scouts in planning for Troop Trek, and we will answer any questions you may have. Troop Trek is a council-sponsored camping experienced designed for Junior Girl Scouts embarking on their first outdoor overnight camping adventure. For the Girl Scouts, it provides the opportunity to experience a council camping event with the security of having their leaders and troop friends with them. While at camp, they will have the opportunity to meet other Girl Scouts from other troops and interact with our Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Program Aides and Counselors-in-Training. They will also take part in a variety of activities planned by an older Girl Scout team, as well as activities troops plan to do on their own. For leaders, the Troop Trek program provides extra assistance in planning and carrying out an outdoor camping trip. The camp staff offers guidance prior to camp at an optional Leaders’ Roundtable, through a Troop Trek informational handout, and during camp through consultants and leaders’ meetings.
