About this event
Pre-requisite for this course is Introduction to Interior Firefighting. This course is designed for the industrial firefighter that may be responsible to respond to structural fires at their facility. It will reinforce skills from the Introduction course, and work to build confidence in structural firefighting tactics. We will introduce hose movement techniques from the nozzle forward program while focusing on aggressive offensive fire attack and rapid search. Knowing what to do when lost or separated from your crew or confronted with an unexpected event, are critical skills for the industrial firefighter to understand, so we will introduce firefighter survival skills and build on them throughout the program. At the end of the course, participants will be much more comfortable with the PPE and tools required for effective structural fire attack, as well as with the techniques required for rescuing lost or injured employees.
