Description
Students will paint along with the instructor and observe his process. We will paint a still life and other exercises. Essential techniques, materials, and approaches to oil painting are thoroughly covered. A good deal of time will be spent discussing paint handling, palette organization and learning about color mixing, value and color temperature.
Class will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Wilson Senior CenterIn this course we will cover the following subjects:
- Materials- paints, mediums, brushes, brush care
- Composition
- Working wet into wet, and wet over dry
- Oiling out
- Working in layers
