Description
Participants will learn about a cherished outdoor pastime. The program will cover fishing basics such as how to prepare a rod and reel, what to have in your tackle box, baiting a hook, casting your line, and how to handle a fish. Fish identification and common fish species that can be found in the pond will be discussed. Instruction will be followed by an opportunity to fish in the pond. Fishing poles and bait will be provided or you may bring your own. For ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Meet at the shed at the Fishing Pond (first gravel lot on your right after you enter the park).
Children must be accompanied by an adult and all participants (children and adults) must be registered in our online system.
