Open to adult String, Woodwind, Piano, Harpsichord, Harp, Classical Guitar, French Horn, and TrumpetDiscover the joy of playing music with others at Introductory Chamber Camp for Adults, a supportive and welcoming three-night workshop designed for beginning adult musicians with little to no ensemble experience. This program is perfect for adult musicians looking to build confidence, improve their skills, and experience the magic of chamber music in a relaxed and encouraging environment.
Camp highlights include:

Introductory Ensemble Sessions – Learn how to play in small groups, focusing on communication, rhythm, and blending your sound with others.

Step-by-Step Coaching – Work with patient and experienced instructors who provide tailored guidance to help you feel comfortable and successful.

Work on the Basics – Strengthen fundamental skills like tone production, tuning, and timing to enhance your ensemble playing.

Accessible Repertoire – Play enjoyable, beginner-friendly pieces specially selected to match your ability level.
- Casual Sharing Session – Gain confidence by performing for your peers in a supportive, non-competitive setting on the last evening.
No prior ensemble experience is needed—just bring your instrument, enthusiasm, and a desire to learn. By the end of the week, you'll leave with improved skills, new friendships, and the confidence to continue your chamber music journey. Join us for a rewarding and uplifting musical adventure!
*Participants need to complete a placement assessment, either via video or in-person with Lead Teacher Jeremy Swider (swider.jeremy@macphail.org), no later than Monday, June 9th. For this assessment, please share any musical selection that helps to demonstrate where you are currently at with playing music on your instrument to help us select repertoire that will be a good fit for your current skills.
