REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 COMPUTER ENGINEERING DESIGN ACADEMY IS NOW FULL Dates: 07/14/2025 - 07/18/2025 Times: M - F, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Location: Rice University Grades: 6th to 8th Price: $499/week* *Participants will receive a Rice STEM t-shirt! 
LUNCH INCLUDED! The registration fee includes lunch each day (M-F) at the Rice cafeteria. A discount will not be provided for students who choose to bring their own lunch. * A $3.00 administrative processing fee will be applied to your registration upon checkout. The Computer Engineering Design (CED) Academy is a one-week program that seeks to inspire current (2024-2025 school year) 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students to envision themselves as scientists and engineers by exposing them to hands-on design experiences that connect STEM to tangible, real-life applications using new and exciting technologies. Students participating in CED will learn Computer-Aided Design (CAD) programming. Students will be introduced to manufacturing techniques with a particular focus on rapid prototyping. They will also gain skills using 3D printers as well as hands-on experience with Micro-Bits and Rovers. Each student will have the opportunity to take home 3D-printed items they create at the end of the program. Right click here to open a new window and apply for scholarships.
