Students will learn about the world of aviation while being led by current professionals in the aeronautics field. Students will experience flight simulators, drones, computer-aided drafting, aviation maintenance, machining, student/professional panel, guest speakers, and an optional flight in the cockpit of a real plane. Camp runs Thursday and Friday, July 17 and 18, 9am to 4pm, at Granite City SWIC Campus, 4950 Maryville Rd, and Saturday, July 19, 8am to 12noon, at St. Louis Regional Airport, 8 Terminal Drive, East Alton, IL. Please note: On the third day, the starting and ending times, as well as location, is different from the first two days. Students must have their own transportation to/from camp each day and commit to attending all three days in full. Lunch is provided on Thursday and Friday; Donuts/juice is provided on Saturday
