What Makes a Great Community?

John W. Jacobs Building • 340 Green St. GainesvilleGA  30501 Organized by Brenau University

About this event

Three IN-PERSON Sessions June 4, 11, 18 Why is Gainesville consistently rated one of the top small cities in the US? This course will focus on our non-profits, our infrastructure, our history of strong civic leadership, and the impact of Lake Lanier. We will look also at future plans and dreams, and of course, our people (demographic make-up, etc.) Class members will be asked: What do you love about our community? Why? What do you dislike? What would you most like to see happen in the future? We will hear from three of our most effective leaders as part of this course. Hoping you'll join us to be informed and to celebrate! Bill Coates has degrees in English, Religion and History, and a Ph.D. in American literature. Mostly he loves people and loves teaching.
