About this event

BIOGRAPHICAL BOOK CLUB LOCATION: Upper School Classroom GRADES: Middle and High School DESCRIPTION: During this term project, we will delve into reading a biography of a renowned scientist who has made significant contributions to science and technology. The focus will be on learning more about the challenges they faced, the obstacles they overcame, and the numerous failures they encountered before finally being recognized for their contributions. Popular choices include Albert Einstein, Jennifer Doudna, Emmy Noether, and Benjamin Franklin, among others. During each day, students will be asked to read a designated number of pages and find some time to discuss what they have read. The last day of the project will involve an in-depth discussion of what they liked and disliked about the book, and ultimately what they learned from reading the biography.
