Description
Learn how to safely use a blowtorch and create abstract works of art using encaustics (beeswax with resin), shellac, pigmented powders, India Inks, and added metallics.You will get to make four separate works. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! All materials are provided with proper ventilation and supervision. Extraordinary results occur with very little effort! All materials included. No prior experience necessary, but helpful.CAC Encaustic class supplies of Griddles, extension cords as needed, flat thermometers, and some scissors, glue sticks and ceramic tools found in class box. I will provide: at least 6 different colored waxes, four boards per student, two cement boards that will protect and cover one of the tables, two blow torches, various India Inks, colored pigments, clear and amber shellacs, brushes and foam applicators, gold leaf, Yes!
