Have you ever looked around a room and wondered how everyday items can come to life? In this camp we will explore various ways to create different types of puppets from everyday items. From hand puppets, sock puppets, paper bag puppets, felt puppets, shadow puppets, clothespin puppets all the way to miniature marionette puppets! And along the way we’ll learn about the history of puppet theatre and how it has been used across the world! Students will create each kind of puppet listed above and more! They will then engage and collaborate with others to create a script for their one of a kind puppet show on the last day! The puppet show will also include a show and tell portion where students will get to present all the puppets they have made and share some of their creative process with their friends and family! Join us as we stretch our creativity, imagination, and problem solving skills!
