DATE: May 3 Instructor: Vien Le Wood This is an in depth look into resist-dyeing where students will learn how to effectively apply wax-resist to cloth in order to create patterns. Students will learn how to prepare their cloth canvases, create their dyes, and learn how to treat and care for their creation. By using wax-resist the students are able to control where they want to dye the cloth and with what color. The first class students will be exposed to traditional resist-dyed cloths, and will begin practicing using the wax-resist. -- Our classes are designed to focus on a learned skill rather than a final product. At TAC, our mission is to provide skills and knowledge for a lifetime! All materials for sample making and learning the technique are included. Any additional materials will need to be supplied by the student based on their vision. The One Day Intensive does not come with free open studio time.
